Learning for Justice: Learning Plans, Student Texts, and Student Tasks

By mslaflamme | Tue, 06/07/2022

I first learned about Learning for Justice (formerly Teaching Tolerance) through my work on a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion advisory committee. We put together a series of presentations focused on the social justice standards and their four domains—identity, diversity, justice, and action (IDJA). But as I explored their website in search of professional development facilitator guides, workshops, and self-guided learning resources, I discovered so much more than professional development. I discovered lessons, learning plans, students texts, student tasks, teaching strategies, and even a learning plan builder!

Learning for JusticeThere are so many great resources offered by this source. I recommend scrolling through their student task ideas first (because that's where you'll get hooked). Then, when you're ready, create a (free!) account and get started on your first learning plan! Learn more at https://www.learningforjustice.org/classroom-resources.
